Week 7 – PV Giants Practice Schedule, B-Games and Excellent Volunteers!

All tackle levels will practice this week on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6:00 – 8:00.

Tuesday night will be 5/6 & 7/8 B games. 5/6 will begin at 5:45 pm. Please have your player there by 4:45 or close to that as possible. 7/8 will begin at 7:00, please have your player to the field by 6:00. Volunteers are still needed for this night. Please see concession stand for slots needed or check your email for the sign-up genie.

Flag will practice on Tuesday and Thursday this week from 6:00 to 7:30.

Reminder, this week is homecoming. Forms for who will be walking players out will be at concession as well as team mom’s will have them. Please let turn these in by Thursday so a list can be completed for Saturday.

Extra Special thanks to all the volunteers for this weekends home-stand! There were still some open spots needing to be filled. And extra field decorators needed for homecoming. Let’s Go Giants! Take a minute and fill-in a volunteer spot.

Week 5 – Practice Schedule – Home Games Saturday Sept 12!

Week 5 – Practice Schedule

Tackle will be practicing this week on Tues, Wed, and Thurs, 6:00 to 8:00. (no “B” games)

Flag will practice this week on Tues and Thurs, 6:00 to 7:30.

Cheer will practice on Tues and Wed.

 

Home Games start September 12th (corrected)

A great chance to pick up some Spirit Wear as you cheer on all divisions of our Giants Family!

 

A few notes to make it a great day of fun, excitement and a display of good sportsmanship.

  • Have the players arrive on-time/early and with the correct uniform and all equipment.
  • Volunteers – please arrive on-time/early so other volunteers may enjoy their child’s game.
  • Cheer on your team, keep it positive and encouraging!
  • Be a good host for our visiting team and cheerleaders.
  • Keep younger siblings from playing with/on the roped field boundaries.
  • Pick-up football games on any fields/including half-time are NOT allowed (By coaches request, too many injuries).
  • Place trash inside the trash bins.
  • Keep smoking in the designated area, on the back side of the concession stand.
  • Keep the area near the concession stand clear for emergency vehicle access.

2015 PV Giants Game Schedule

Arrive ready to warm-up:

  • 1 hour before home games scheduled game start time.
  • 1 hour and 15 minutes before away games scheduled game start time.

If there are ever weather delays for the start time of games, a notification will be issued on Facebook and/or Twitter, otherwise please arrive one hour before the scheduled start.

Week 3 – Upcoming Dates and Deadlines

Another reminder of upcoming events for our team and the league.

The following paperwork needs to be turned into your team mom by August 18th:
~Birth Certificate (if you played last year, please verify that we still have a copy).
~Physical
~Age/Grade Verification (needs signed by school representative)

These forms are due to the league shortly after that. If it is not turned in, your player will not be allowed to play until all forms are completed.

August 20th – Fundraisers are due. Please turn in your trash bag orders/ticket numbers on this date along with the $$ for each. Please keep in mind that you need to profit $100.00 in trash bags sales. To reach your $100 dollar obligation, that is a sale of 34 rolls of bags. Trash bags should be available for pick-up in a couple of weeks.

August 20th – All fees must be paid. If you have not paid already, please be sure to get this done. Tackle is $255.00, Cheer $255.00 and flag is $125. Fundraising profit/buyout is $100.00.

August 22nd – Simone Tournament (@ Oak Park High School) for tackle players and Pleasant Valley Flag Tournament (our home field) for flag players. This is a pre-season tournament to help get our players acclimated to playing football and geared up for the coming season. Schedules for both are online at www.nsyfl.com, home page underneath upcoming events. Team moms will also have information on when to arrive for the games.

August 29th – Tentative first scheduled games. A final schedule will be available at weigh-ins (more information to come).

On a side note, please do not park by the trailers or in front of the dumpsters at any time, practice or games. This space needs to be clear for any emergency that may arise.

2014 PV Giants Awards Ceremony

What: 2014 PV Giants Awards Ceremony

When: Saturday December 6th
Time: 1pm-4pm
Why: To celebrate the 2014  PV Giants Football and Cheerleaders season.
Must RSVP by November 8th to your Team Mom.
Trophys will only be purchased for those that are attending.

We will be having punch, cookies, chips & dips and veggies & dips.  Once we have a head count we will let each grade group know what they will need to bring.

Each division is responsible for bringing the following items:
